Multiple sites support

FireStats can monitor access to multiple sites on the same server.
For this matter, the definition of a site is a subsystem, for example, if you run those on your server, each one is considered a site:

  • A WordPress blog
  • Another WordPress blog
  • A Joomla site
  • A Drupal site
  • etc.

The idea is that you register each site with your FireStats installation via the sites tab, and then configure the site plugin to use its ID when reporting hits to FireStats. This way, FireStats will be able to tell to display statistics which are specific to each particular site.
The ID to use for your site can be obtained from the Sites management tab. in this tab you can add, edit and remove sites from FireStats.
The next step is to have the site provide its ID to FireStats when it report hits. this is done in a different way from platform to platform, but FireStats tells you how to do it when you click on the appropriate help button.
in the following example the circled help button will open the help for the Joomla site in the same row.
