Database naming setup problems

Description

I'm trying to set up a fresh install of Firestats standalone. The setup page (root/index.php) appears to remove the '+' character. My database name is 'username+dbname'. It's like that by convention with the host I'm with (a university provider so I can't change that end of it). Is there any way I can set the db settings manually in firestats?

Thanks! Anton

Replying to omry:

this might help.

Yes, I found that shortly after submitting this ticket. I followed the steps, but now I get the message: Database status : FireStats is not installed in the database from the index.php page (along with the regular form to enter in database info).

Thoughts?

I will have to try it locally to see what is the problem.

replace js/page-database.js.php with this one.

it should solve your problem. let me know if you still have it afterwards.
