Description

Hello.

I have newly install "FireStats 1.6.0-RC2" + "WordPress 2.6.3" at system "PHP Version 5.2.6", "MySQL Version 5.0.51a-log".

It works perfect before I click at "WordPress settings" button "This will update the titles of the blog posts inside FireStats, you don't normally need to use it". After that "function fs_get_popular_pages_range" from php\db-sql.php all the time returns empty.

Hi. I looked into it, and it appears to be a problem with WordPress: there is an inconsistency between the url used by WordPress internally and the url returned by

get_permalink($post_id)

in some cases it returns a url with a trailing slash and in some other cases it returns it without a trailing slash.

this behavior is confusing firestats (it keeps the post title attached to the url without the trailing slash but later hits are on the url with the trailing slash).

I am not sure what kind of braindamaged code produce this bizarre behavior, I will have to investigate it a bit more and create a test case for the wordpress guys.

okay, I found a workaround. after you update to the next 1.6 release update the titles again and it will work.

as an added bonus, it will also get the titles for wordpress pages now (about page etc). [2075]
