I can't reproduce it on IE7.

describe how you have FireStats installed, and if you see and problems in the diagnostics page.

well?

Changed 21 months ago by neoen

Upgrade from 1.5.12 through upload into Firestats Installer.

This problem can be seen only in IE7 and is shown only sometimes.

Now I can see there two same errors. One is Line 269 and next is Line 277. I can give you access if you want.

Diagnostics page is OK (except Mutex).

Maybe, problem is in problematic URLs? I will add screenshots.

A added a solution for the google.ru case, but I am not sure what is the encoding of the nova.rambler url. it seems totally fucked up to me. any idea what is teh encoding?

Changed 21 months ago by omry

do you have any good reasons to suspect that the javascript errors are related to this?

Changed 21 months ago by neoen

Yes, I have suspection. When there is any error like those reported above (google.ru and nova.rambler.ru) then there is Javascript error. When there is no error, there is also no Javascript error. I am not sure, but there is also correlation between number of errors and Javascript errors.

Ad rambler.ru - I am not sure (windows-1251, KOI8-R, ISO-8859-1)?

well, it's not any of those.

nothing much I can do with it. remove it from the database. if it repeats itself maybe you should contact nova.rambler and hint that they have a bug.

another indication that this is a broken url is that when you follow it back to nova.rumbler they show it as garbage as well. they don't know what to do with it either.

about IE7 getting JavaScript? errors because of this problem, it's an IE7 bug. can't do anything about it, sorry.

I hope the fix to the google url will solve your issue. try again with 1.6.0-RC2.

Firestats 1.6.0 RC1.

And now it looks that this problem is not connected with invalid search terms. I have new install on another website, only some hits (mainly from robots) and two similar Javascript errors in IE7 on lines 354 and 362 (Char 2).

Changed 21 months ago by omry

of which file?

Changed 21 months ago by neoen

URL: http://example.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=firestats/firestats-wordpress.php

So it is possible that are influenced only Wordpress installations.

My WP version is 2.6.2.

Changed 21 months ago by neoen

Not only on Wordpress. I upgraded non-Wordpress site from beta2 to RC1 and problem appears also (Line 269 and 277). But it is the same as in the beginning of this problem and it is also maybe due to the other problem with Yandex.

Changed 21 months ago by omry

well, IE errors are useless as ever and I still can't reproduce this.

email me a backup of your FireStats tables, maybe something will show up when I use the same data.

also, anything in the diagnostics page?

Changed 21 months ago by neoen

I sent you login to my Firestats to see this problem...
