Plugin Commander times out

Description

Hi there,

I installed the plugin commander on wordpress MU yesterday, and worked fine at first. I then noticed that even if the "turn on" was activated, new blogs did not automatically get the plugins activated. Right now, I cannot use any of the functionality that the commander should offer, it simply times out when I click any of the commands.

Any suggestions? Have Tiger Style Administration and Wordpress Video Plugin installed as plugins, and was using the latest firestats version - but have now removed firestats to see if that was the issue. Problem remains though.

the only operations that have a serious potential to time out are the mass activate and mass-deactivate, which depends in length on the numbers of blogs you have. Setting Automatic activation is a quick operation that should not time out.

try to turn auto-activate of all plugins, and check with one at a time :

  • enable auto-activate for a plugin
  • create a new blog
  • verify plugin is active for said blog.

one of your plugins may be failing the auto activation.

Hi again,

I should clarify: The enable all, disable all seems to be working (only have a few blogs right now). But I cannot auto-enable any of the plugins. Have tried removing all and re-adding. It loads, but then simply says done with a more or less blank page.

check your server error log for PHP errors. (you may need to activate PHP logging).

Also, your clarification was mostly confusing. please describe EXACTLY what you are doing, what you think should happen and what actually happens.

Alright, sorry about that.

I have 3 options, right? Turn on auto-active, activate all, deactive all.

Activate all and deactivate all seem to be working. However, when I try to turn on auto-active for any of my plugins, the page executes but then simply stops, says that it´s "done" and only a partial part of the top admin menu is loaded. In other words, the page never finished updating/loading but instaed stops and auto-active is not being turned on.

Have tried looking at the error log but cannot find any error relating to this.

  • component changed from Unlisted to WPMU Plugin Commander

That's clearer, thanks. what is the url of the option that cause this behavior when you click it? btw: you may want to add your email to the cc list for this bug. if you are (rightfully) worried about spam bots, you can create a user at the site, and use the user in the cc list.

The url is:

wp-admin/options-general.php?page=Plugin%20Commander&auto_activate_on=wp-admin-tiger/wp-admin-tiger.php

This was for the Tiger admin interface plugin, it is the only plugin I have installed currently.
